Through generous donations from residents of all parts of Sausalito, Open Space Sausalito raised more than the $15,000 needed to buy a Purchase Option on the Butte Street parcel. Today, a cashiers check for $15,000 was mailed to the private owners of the property who told OSS president Bill Monnet that they are  pleased to receive the money, and delighted that OSS is on track to preserve this land as open space and wildlife habitat.
